Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar-THE FATHER DIES.

When Bheemrao received his B.A, Diploma, his father was not keeping in good health. The financial condition of the family had become worse. Ramjirao wanted Bheemrao to continue his higher studies. But Bheemrao didn't want to put more burden on his old and ailing father.


He went to the Baroda office in Mumbai and applied for a job. It was a known fact that Bheemrao was the king's protege. After the formalities of checkups and examinations, Bheemrao was recruited as a Lieutenant in the army of Baroda State. He was asked to join the duty immediately.


Bheemrao had spent only 15 days on duty when he received a telegram informing that his father was seriously ill. He resigned and went back to Mumbai to be by his father's side who had done so much for him. Shortly after Bheemrao's arrival, Ramjirao, the retired Subedar passed away on 2nd February, 1913.
